1. Scripture was Written FOR us… not TO us.

Psalm 119:105 NIV Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

John 8:31-32 NASB

31 So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples; 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

2. Some Scripture is PRESCRIPTIVE and Some is DESCRIPTIVE.

Ephesians 6:17 NIV Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
